Children’s university: Electronic adventures for curious kids
The curious minds of the children’s university KinderUni Nürnberg visited us at the Energy Campus Nürnberg! The scientific staff of the Chair of Electrical Power Engineering, Carla Marchfelder and Simon Scherer, as well as Thomas Lehmeier from the Chair of Power Electronics showed the children aged 8 to 10 how green energy can be generated in a practical way 🪴
Through practical experiments and the use of kits, the children built their own electrical circuits and learned how various renewable energy sources work. The module places particular emphasis on understanding wind power, photovoltaics, batteries, switches and motors.
An exciting adventure for all young researchers who are curious and like to tinker.
The KinderUni Nürnberg is an educational program offered by the Office for Culture and Leisure for all inquisitive children. The summer semester program takes place every year in February and the winter semester program in September.
