On April 23, 2026, the nationwide Girls’ Day took place. Once a year, this event offers girls from fifth grade upwards the opportunity to gain insights into professions where women are underrepresented. As part of Girls’ Day at the FAU’s Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Sciences, LEET again also offered an experiment. A total of 11 girls gained their first insights into electrical engineering while building an “Eternal Spinning Top”. We hope we were able to spark some interest in our research topics and are already looking forward to the Girls and Technology Internship (“Mädchen und Technik Praktikum”) in September!
